The Atlanta Braves (96-50, 77-69 RL, 80-65-2 O/U) meet with the Miami Marlins (75-72, 67-80 RL, 67-76-4 O/U) in an NL East battle on Friday evening. The Braves will have Bryce Elder on the mound. The Marlins will counter with Johny Cueto. The Braves lead the season series 9-1.

The Braves will give Bryce Elder the nod on Friday evening. Elder was outstanding once again last time out, conceding only two runs on four hits in seven innings against the Pirates, and was credited with another victory. The young righty has allowed just three runs in his last 13 innings and is sporting a 3.38 ERA and a 1.20 WHIP complemented by a 12-4 record in 162.1 innings on the year. Elder has contained the Marlins, conceding four runs in 12.1 innings, and has issued a stellar 2.83 ERA along with a 1-2 record in 35 career innings.

Atlanta continues a road trek. They won three of four meetings against the Phillies before this series to secure the division. The offense continues to dazzle. They scored 26 runs in Philly and lead the MLB in all offensive categories. They stand at 6-4 in their last ten bouts and have won 49 road games.

Ronald Acuna Jr. has done some of his best work this season against the Marlins, bashing four homers with 10 RBIs and a 1.119 OPS. The 25-year-old is having an incredible season and should win the NL MVP. Acuna Jr. has 37 homers with 97 RBIs and a 1.00 OPS on the season. He has registered a 1.09 OPS in September.

Atlanta leads the big leagues with 5.84 runs per game. The pitching is among the best, posting a 3.92 team ERA, placing them sixth.
