The high scoring has a chance to continue Sunday night. Though Houston Astros righty Cristian Javier carries a 7-1 record and 4.34 ERA, he's been shelled in his last three outings. He'll be opposed by the Los Angeles Angels' Tyler Anderson, who owns a 4-2 record and 5.25 ERA.

Javier struggled in his three outings prior to the All-Star break. Though he hasn't taken a loss since April, he was touched up for four runs in 2 1/3 innings against the New York Mets on June 21, allowed six runs in four innings of work against the St. Louis Cardinals on June 28, and gave up eight runs in 4 1/3 innings to the Texas Rangers on July 3.
Despite those short outings, we're backing Javier to record at least 16 outs on Sunday.
Due to the high-scoring nature of this series, the Astros' bullpen has been used heavily. J.P. France lasted just 4 1/3 frames on Friday and was backed by five members of the Houston 'pen. Framber Valdez went 6 1/3 innings on Saturday, but the game went to extras and required another five arms in the eventual 13-12 loss.

Due to the heavy usage, Javier will be encouraged to go as deep as he can. Hector Neris, Bryan Abreu, and closer Ryan Pressly are all likely unavailable Sunday. If Phil Maton is called on, it'd be his third consecutive appearance.
