Palace's only goal vs. Liverpool came on a counterattack in the first half when Eberechi Eze found Wilfried Zaha for a breakaway score. Liverpool was able to a tie and nearly win the game in the second half, however, despite being down a player for the final 40 minutes. Darwin Nunez had been shown a red card for headbutting Joachim Andersen.
