Once Upon A Time In Las Vegas – Championship Sunday

Arkansas will try to jump back into the top 25 in the polls when it travels to No. 17 Baylor on Saturday afternoon during the Big 12/SEC Challenge. The Razorbacks have picked up consecutive wins over Ole Miss and LSU following their four-game losing streak. Baylor is riding a five-game winning streak and is coming off a win over No. 9 Kansas.

Arkansas is in desperate need of a quality road win on its resume, as it has gone winless in its four true road games this season. The Razorbacks lost five games in a six-game stretch to open SEC play after going 11-1 to open the year. They were favored in three of those five losses, including a 97-74 loss to Vanderbilt as a 3-point favorite two weeks ago. Arkansas snapped its four-game skid with a 69-57 win against Ole Miss last Saturday before adding a 60-40 win against LSU as a 12.5-point favorite on Tuesday. The Razorbacks would likely jump back into the top 25 with a win on Saturday.

They have been a decent offensive team overall this season, ranked No. 60 in KenPom’s adjusted efficiency ratings. Arkansas is shooting 53.5% from 2-point range, but it is one of the nation’s worst 3-point shooting teams at 30.8%. The Razorbacks are also shooting just 70.2% from the charity stripe, which is No. 218 nationally. They are facing a Baylor defense that has been mediocre, ranked No. 91 in adjusted efficiency. Junior guard Ricky Council IV leads Arkansas with 16.8 points and 2.4 assists per game, while freshman guard Anthony Black is scoring 12.8 points, grabbing 5.3 rebounds and dishing out 4.0 assists.
