Two weeks ago, prior to their bye week, the Arkansas Razorbacks dismantled the BYU Cougars 52-35 on the road in the first-ever meeting between the two schools. After trailing 13-7 at the end of the first quarter, the Razorbacks outscored the Cougars 24-8 in the second quarter on their way to victory.

“Well, I want to congratulate Missouri State and Coach Petrino on a great game plan. He had his kids prepared more than I did. He did a wonderful job; they have a wonderful quarterback. Man did he make a lot of plays. “We turned the ball over twice, but then Bryce Stephens returned a punt for the first time this year. We’re just so fortunate to win these game like this, you know if you are not playing well or the other team is playing well, or whatever the situation is, you’re just trying to fight and claw and get out with a win. “There were several different times in the game where it d idn’t look like we were going to win. Our kids just kept fighting and clawing and to come out with an 11-point win, that says a lot about the culture of our program and of our kids. I’m really proud that we won the game and I’ll leave it at that.” Head coach Scott Pittman said after his team's impressive road win.

Arkansas quarterback KJ Jefferson returned after suffering a head injury the week prior against Alabama and was outstanding. Jefferson was 29-of-40 for 367 yards and five touchdowns without an interception. He also carried the ball 10 times for 32 yards in the game. Wide receiver Matt Landers had a big day with eight catches on ten targets for 99 yards and three touchdowns. The Razorbacks had a whopping 644 yards of total offense in the game with 34 first downs. Arkansas turned the ball over one time and converted an impressive 12-of-15 third downs.

On the defensive side of the ball, Arkansas all owed 471 yards of total offense and 27 first downs. They forced four fumbles and recovered two of them and had an interception as well. The team had three tackles for loss and while they didn't have any sacks in the game, they had five quarterback hits.

With a week off, QB Jefferson should be fully healthy for this game. They are 37th in the country in scoring offense and are fifth in rushing offense while just 79th in passing offense. The Razorbacks have stalled in the red zone, however, ranking just 103rd in the country in red zone offensive efficiency. They have been protective of the football, ranking 37th in the country. On the defensive side of the ball, the Razorbacks have struggled. They rank just 106th in scoring defense and are 77th against the run and 127th against the pass. While they have struggled to score in the red zone, they have not been effective in stopping teams from scoring. The Razorbacks rank 90th in red zone defensive efficiency.
