In the all-time series between the teams, the Bruins own a 61-45 advantage. This season, the teams split two meetings with Arizona winning 58-52 at home January 21 before UCLA rebounded with an 82-73 triumph at home in the most recent contest last Saturday.

Arizona won the rubber game of their season series with in-state rival Arizona State as they pulled away down the stretch to advance to the title game. The Wildcats bolstered their record to 27-6 overall and they were 14-6 in conference play during the regular season. Against Arizona State, Arizona worked the ball inside early and often to take a seven-point lead at the half. The Wildcats opened an 11-point lead with 11:05 remaining but went scoreless for the next four-plus minutes to allow the Sun Devils to get within four. Arizona regrouped again, going on a 12-2 run that put them up 68-54 with 4:25 remaining and went on to the win. The Wildcats shot 56.4% from the field, including 10 of 19 from three-point range, and dominated the boards 45-29 to offset a six of 14 night at the free throw line. Azuolas Tubelis led the Wildcats with 17 points and nine rebounds in the win.
