In their last outing, the Wildcats were defeated by the California Golden Bears 49-31. The Buffaloes are coming off of a 45-17 loss to the UCLA Bruins. Against the Golden Bears, Jayden de Laura led the Cats with 401 yards on 27-of-45 passing (60.0%) for two touchdowns and two interceptions. Michael Wiley totaled 79 rushing yards on 14 carries (5.6 yards per carry), scoring one touchdown on the ground. Jacob Cowing led the receiving charge against the Golden Bears, catching seven passes for 133 yards and one touchdown. Owen McCown went 26-for-42 with 258 yards, one touchdown and one interception for the Buffs against the Bruins. He also rushed nine times for -32 yards and one touchdown. Charlie Offerdahl carried the ball 14 times for 47 yards. Daniel Arias recorded 82 yards through the air after four catches (on eight targets).

The Wildcats are favorites (-17.5) in an expected lopsided matchup against the Buffaloes. The total is set at 56 points.
