The Arizona Diamondbacks (37-25, 1st NL West) play the middle game of a three-game interleague series in the Motor City on Saturday against the Detroit Tigers (26-34, 4th AL Central). Detroit was defeated by the Philadelphia Phillies 3-2 on Thursday and the Tigers have lost six straight. Arizona will play without five pitchers as well as position players Carson Kelly and Kyle Lewis. Detroit will play without nine pitchers as well as position players Kerry Carpenter, Riley Greene and Austin Meadows.
