Familiar foes will clash on Friday when the Colorado Rockies (50-64) host the Arizona Diamondbacks (51-60). Colorado is 7-6 against Arizona this season. The Diamondbacks took two out of three games from the Rockies last weekend in Arizona.
The Arizona Diamondbacks have won five of their last seven games which were all at home. The Diamondbacks now hit the road where they are 19-31 this season, averaging 4.1 runs, and allowing 5.0 runs in those road contests. They are also just 1-5 on the road since the All-Star break.
On Thursday, Arizona beat Pittsburgh 9-3, taking their third game in the four game series, Emmanuel Rivera hit his eighth home run of the season with three RBI, and Daulton Varsho also drove in three runs in the in.

Zach Davies (2-4, 4.03 ERA) will start on Friday. He is 1-3 with a 4.95 ERA in eight road starts this season. In two starts against Colorado this season, Davies has not allowed a run in 11 1/3 innings, but both outing were at home. The last outing was on Sunday, when Davies tossed five shutout innings and allowed four hits in a 6-4 win over the Rockies.
