The Arizona Diamondbacks will visit Dodger Stadium Wednesday night for game three of four against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Arizona comes into Wednesday 9 games under .500 riding a four-game losing streak after a 5-2 loss in game one of this series. Merrill Kelly struggled on the mound for Arizona allowing five runs on eight hits across six innings of work leading to the loss. The Arizona bullpen did pitch well however allowing no runs on one hit over the final two innings of the game.
Offensively Arizona was terrible from the plate with only seven hits in 33 at bats including an abysmal 1-8 with runners in scoring position to leave six men on base. Geraldo Perdomo was the only real bright spot in the Arizona lineup with one RBI in the game despite not having a hit.
The Los Angeles Dodgers continue their homestand Wednesday night as the best team in baseball with 102 wins following their win in game one of this series. Clayton Kershaw dominated on the mound for Los Angeles giving up one run on six hits across six innings leading to the victory. The Los Angeles bullpen was dominant allowing one run on one hit over the final three innings to secure the win.
