Arizona Coyotes vs. Winnipeg Jets Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 1-15-2023

Once Upon A Time In Las Vegas – Wildcard Edition

The Arizona Coyotes face the Winnipeg Jets with both teams heading in opposing directions this season. The Coyotes have a 13-23-5 record which is second-worst in the Central Division while the Jets have a 28-14-1 record and with back-to-back wins are near the top of the division. Both teams look to improve within the division and the Western Conference and the upcoming game should be a great one as a result.

The Coyotes are having a season to forget with their offense struggling and scoring only 2.73 goals per game. Clayton Keller and Lawson Crouse have scored 29 goals and 31 assists while defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere has added nine goals and 19 assists from the point but the rest of the offense has struggled. Only four skaters have scored nine goals or more while only six skaters have 13 assists or more and opposing defenses can eliminate the hapless offense as a result.

The offense has struggled but the defense has let them down, allowing 3.71 goals per game. Jakob Chychrun and Shayne Gostisbehere have combined for 3.0 defensive point shares but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net at will. The one bright spot has been the play of goaltender Karel Vejmelka who has a .902 save percentage and a 3.38 goals-against average on 1063 shots.
