The Arizona Coyotes face the Dallas Stars with both teams heading in opposite directions this season. The Coyotes have a 20-30-9 record and are near the bottom of the Central Division while the Stars have a 31-16-13 record and are in first place in the division. Both teams are looking to improve in the division and the Western Conference and the upcoming game looks to be a good one.

The Coyotes are having a rough season with their offense struggling, scoring only 2.66 goals per game. Clayton Keller and Nick Schmaltz have scored 41 goals and 54 assists to lead the top line but the rest of the offense has struggled. Only six skaters have 10 goals or more and opponents can eliminate the hapless offense as a result.

The offense has struggled but the defense has let the Coyotes down, allowing 3.53 goals per game. Shayne Gostisbehere and Troy Stecher have combined for 4.0 defensive point shares but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net at will. The one bright spot has been the play of goaltender Connor Ingram who has a .908 save percentage and a 3.30 goals-against average on 727 shots with 1.8 goals saved above average.
