Arizona Coyotes vs. Colorado Avalanche Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 3-24-2023

The Arizona Coyotes face the Colorado Avalanche with both teams on opposite ends of the Central Division to close out the season. The Coyotes have a 27-33-12 record and are near the bottom of the Western Conference. The Avalanche have a 41-23-6 record and with seven wins in the last 10 games are near the top of the Central Division. Both teams look to improve within the division and finish the season strong and the upcoming game looks to be a good one as a result.

The Coyotes are having a season to forget with their offense letting them down, scoring only 2.78 goals per game with only four goals in the last two games. Clayton Keller, Nick Schmaltz, and Matias Maccelli have scored 62 goals and 106 assists but the rest of the offense has struggled. Only seven active skaters have scored 10 goals or more and opponents can limit the top-heavy offense as a result.

The offense has let the Coyotes down but the defense has also struggled, allowing 3.43 goals per game. J.J. Moser and Patrik Nemeth have combined for 4.8 defensive point shares but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net at will. In addition, goaltender Karel Vejmelka has struggled with a .904 save percentage and a 3.33 goals-against average on 1524 shots with -1.2 goals saved above average.
