The Coyotes are having a rough season with their offense letting them down, scoring only 2.98 goals per game. Clayton Keller and Matias Maccelli have scored 27 goals and 50 assists to lead the top line but the rest of the offense has struggled. Only six skaters have eight goals or more and opponents can limit the top-heavy offense as a result.

The offense has struggled but the defense has fallen apart in recent games, allowing 3.06 goals per game including 12 goals in the last two games. Sean Durzi and JJ Moser have combined for 5.3 defensive point shares but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to carry the puck into the offensive zone and easily find open shots on the net. The one bright spot has been the play of goaltender Connor Ingram who has a .916 save percentage and a 2.59 goals-against average on 892 shots with 11.1 goals saved above average.
