The Arizona Coyotes and New York Rangers face off on Sunday in an NHL showdown at Madison Square Garden. When these two teams faced off on October 30th it was the Rangers that secured the 3-2 victory. 

The Coyotes headed into Saturday’s game against the New Jersey Devils with a 6-6-1 record. On Thursday against the New York Islanders, the defense was strong not giving up a goal, and the offense scored two goals on the way to the victory. Clayton Keller had a nice game finishing with two assists and four shots on goal. The Coyotes are averaging 2.85 goals per game while their defense is giving up 3.54 goals per game. The defense is ranked 27th and needs to be better going forward. Keller on the season has scored four goals and added 15 assists so far this season. 

On the other side of this matchup is the New York Rangers who headed into Saturday’s game with the Predators with a 7-5-3 victory. On Thursday against the Detroit Red Wings the Rangers offense was strong scoring eight goals and that led to an easy victory. Adam Fox had a huge game for New York finishing with one goal and three assists. The Rangers had lost three games in a row before that win. The Rangers are averaging 3.13 goals per game while their defense is giving up 2.93 goals per game. The offense is ranked 17th in the league while their defense offense is ranked 12th. Artemi Panarin has scored five goals and added 16 assists so far this season.
