Arizona Cardinals (3-11) vs. Chicago Bears (5-9)

In Week 16, a compelling quarterback matchup unfolds as the Arizona Cardinals and Chicago Bears face off, featuring Kyler Murray of Arizona and Justin Fields of Chicago. Despite both teams likely missing the playoffs, this game holds significant interest as Murray and Fields aim to demonstrate to their respective teams that they are the quarterbacks of the future.

These teams have not met since December 2021 when Arizona pulled off a 33-22 victory in Chicago. The Cardinals were the favorite in the contest (7.5) with a total set at 43.5. The Bears enter as 4.5-point favorites with the total set at 43.0.

The Arizona Cardinals (3-11, 7-6-1 ATS) lost to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, 45-29. This team has not lost a single game before earning a victory, posting two two-game losing streaks and a six-game losing skid. The Cardinals are 1-6 (3-3-1 ATS) on the road.

Arizona took a 7-0 lead a little more than four minutes into the contest and trailed by just one with six minutes left in the second quarter. However, San Francisco dominated from there, pulling off the 16-point victory. The Cardinals did rush for 234 yards but turned the ball over twice, both on interceptions.

“We’ve got to play cleaner than that to play a really good football team,” Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon said. “We hun g in, it kind of got away from us at the end. I appreciate the effort.”

Kyler Murray completed 26 of 39 passes in the loss, but threw two interceptions and was sacked three times. James Connor rushed for 86 yards on 14 carries and Emari Demercado carried the ball four times for 64 yards and a score. Arizona is 24th in yards per game (306.3), but has been outstanding on the ground, seventh in rushing yards (131.8). They are 29th in passing yards (174.5).

CB Antonio Hamilton and WR Greg Dortch are listed as questionable. CB Garrett Williams and WR Marquise Brown are out.
