Arizona at Oregon State – 1/12/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Arizona Wildcats and Oregon State Beavers face off on Thursday in a college basketball showdown at the Gill Coliseum. When these two teams faced off in February it was Arizona that secured the 83-69 victory. 

Arizona comes into this game with a 14-2 record overall and they have gone 6-9-1 against the spread. Arizona’ has had a strong season, but they are coming off a shocking loss in the last game. The offense only managed 61 points against Washington State and that led to the 13 point loss. Two games ago against Washington they only scored 70 points, and they only won by three points. Arizona is averaging 85.8 points while their defense is giving up 72.5 points per game. The offense is ranked 6th while the defense is ranked 270th. Azuolas Tubelis is averaging 20.6 points while shooting 57.4 percent from the field and 44.4 percent from behind the three point line. 

On the other side of this matchup is Oregon State who sits with a 7-9 record overall and they have gone 7-8 against the spread. In the last game against Colorado the offense scored only 42 points and that led to the 20 point loss. Oregon State is averaging 63.7 points while their defense is giving up 66.3 points per game. The defense has been good, but the offense hasn’t been good enough. Guard Jordan Pope is averaging 12.3 points while shooting 43.5 percent from the field and 39.1 percent from behind the three point line.
