The Wyoming Cowboys host the Appalachian State Mountaineers Saturday in a nonconference clash. The Cowboys, who play in the Mountain West Conference, are 2-1 on the season, while the Mountaineers, who play in the Sun Belt Conference, are also 2-1. These two schools last met in 2015 when Appalachian State won 31-13. Wyoming is a 2.5 point favorite in this one. Kickoff is at 7:00 p.m. ET at War Memorial Stadium in Laramie, Wyoming.

But he was not even the main story as Nate Noel gashed East Carolina for 193 yards rushing and a touchdown. App State rolled up 465 total yards and gave up just 240 total yards.

The  Mountaineers are averaging a whopping 40.7 points per game on the season, which ranks 17th in the nation. They average 451 total yards per game, which is 38th in the country. They average 253.3 yards per game in the air, which is 55th in the FBS, while they gain 197.7 yards per game on the ground, which ranks 31st in the nation. Defensively, they give up a 30.7 points per game, which is 109th in the nation. They give up 175.7 rushing yards per game, which is 113th in the country, while the Mountaineers allow 200 yards per game in the air, which ranks 52nd in the FBS. Backup quarterback Ryan Burger is listed as out for this game, but is the only player on the injured list.
