The Appalachian State Mountaineers (3-3, 1-1 Sun Belt) will be going for their second consecutive road win when they face the Old Dominion Monarchs (3-3, 2-1 Sun Belt) on Saturday night. The game will be played at S.B. Ballard Stadium and it is scheduled to begin at 7 PM. ET.

The Mountaineers are coming off a 27-24 loss to Coastal Carolina as 4.5-point favorites. The Monarchs are coming off a 17-13 win over Southern Mississippi as three-point underdogs.

Appalachian State is 3-0 in three games against Old Dominion.

The Mountaineers fell behind early in their last game and rallied to tie the game in the fourth quarter. Unfortunately for them, the Chanticleers got the ball back in the waning seconds of the game and kicked a game-winning field goal with time running out, and picked up their first win over the Mountaineers.

They will try to bounce back from the loss with a win over the Monarchs, which will give them their third win in their last five games.

Appalachian State is averaging 39.3 points per game. They are throwing for 267.2 yards and rushing for 189 yards per game.

Joey Aguilar completed 58 percent of his passes for 305 yards and two touchdowns in the loss to Coastal Carolina. Kanye Roberts had 11 carries for 48 yards, while Milan Tucker had two catches for 78 yards.

Appalachian State has struggled defensively, giving up 30.2 points per game. They gave up 27 points in their last game and will need a better effort if they want to get the win.

(RB) Nate Noel (Ankle) is questionable for this game. (QB) Ryan Burger (Finger) is questionable.
