The Anaheim Ducks face the Winnipeg Jets with both teams heading in opposite directions to start the season. The Ducks have a 6-16-3 record and with only two wins in their last 10 games, have fallen to last in the Pacific Division. The Jets have a 14-7-1 record and are in second place in the Central Division. The Ducks are looking to turn around a rough season while the jets look to remain near the top of the Western Conference and the upcoming game should be a good one as a result.

The Ducks are having an awful season with their offense struggling and scoring only 2.38 goals per game. While Troy Terry and Trevor Zegras have scored 18 goals and 26 assists to lead the top line, the rest of the offense has been awful. Only four skaters have five goals or more while only six skaters have seven assists or more and opposing defenses can eliminate the hapless offense as a result.

The offense has struggled but the defense has let the Ducks down, allowing 4.17 goals per game including 21 goals in the last five games. Cam Fowler, Kevin Shattenkirk, and Dmitry Kulikov have combined for 2.2 defensive points shares but the rest of the unit has been awful, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net at will. In addition, goaltender Anthony Stolarz has struggled in the net with a .888 save percentage and a 3.92 goals-against average on 268 shots.
