The Ducks are off to a great start with their offense stepping up and scoring 3.13 goals per game with 11 goals in the last two games. Ryan Strome, Frank Vatrano, and Mason McTavish have scored 13 goals and 14 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has also stepped up. Troy Terry, Adam Henrique, and Leo Carlsson have combined for five goals and seven assists while defensemen Pavel Mintukov and Cam Fowler have added two goals and five assists from the point to help open up the offense.

The offense has been great but the defense has struggled, allowing 3.00 goals per game. Cam Fowler and Radko Gudas have led the top two pairings with 29 blocked shots but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net at will. The bright spot has been the play of goaltender John Gibson who has a .905 save percentage and a 2.81 goals-against average on 116 shots.
