Anaheim Ducks (9-20-3) vs. Los Angeles Kings (17-12-5)

The Anaheim Ducks head to Los Angeles, California, on Tuesday night to face off against the Los Angeles Kings in the Pacific Division showdown at Crypto.com Arena with the puck drop at 10:30 PM ET.

Anaheim and Los Angeles open their three-game regular-season series, and the Kings search for their fourth straight victory over the Ducks. Los Angeles opens as a firm -250 moneyline fave, while the totals are listed at 6.0 goals.

The Anaheim Ducks will close down their five-game road trip Tuesday in LA. After getting blanked by the Ottawa Senators 3-0 and Toronto Maple Leafs 7-0, the Ducks have won two straight contests at the Montreal Canadiens 5-2 and Edmonton Oilers 4-3. They are still sitting bottom of the Pacific Division with 21 points on their tally.

Last Saturday, Anaheim stunned Edmonton as a +260 moneyline underdog. The Ducks scored four goals on just 17 shots, while Lukas Dostal had a tremendous night in the crease, posting 46 saves against one of the most dangerous offensive teams in the league. Dostal improved to 2-1-0 on the season, and the 22-year-old netminder might get another starting call Tuesday against the Kings. Anthony Stolarz (2-5-0; 4.02 GAA) is on the injured reserve, and John Gibson (5-14-3; 3.99 GAA) is considered day-to-day due to an undiscl osed injury.

“I am speechless, it is unreal,” Dostal said of beating the Oilers. “Those guys are just something else. It was a privilege to play against them and it is even more exciting to get the W. It is a pretty nice moment.”

The Ducks own the worst scoring defense in the NHL, yielding 4.16 goals per game. They also have the worst penalty-killing percentage in the league (67.2%). On the other side of the puck, Anaheim ranks 31st in the league in goals for (2.41 per game), 28th in power-play percentage (14-for-88), and 31st in 5-on-5 high-danger scoring chances (40.4%).
