The Anaheim Ducks (16-29-5, 22-28 ATS) earned a 2-1 victory in overtime over the Arizona Coyotes on Saturday, January 28. That moved the club to 4-1-0 over their last five, with three of those victories coming on the road. The Ducks are still an abysmal 7-16-4 away from Anaheim but finished off their most recent six-game road trip 3-2-1. That is good news, as the team has back-to-back road contests, playing in Dallas on Monday before traveling to Chicago for Tuesday’s game. Monday’s contest was not included as part of this analysis.
John Gibson stopped 33 of 34 shots in the victory. He has shown some of his past glory over the last four games, giving up one goal against Columbus on January 19 and three to Colorado on January 26. However, that came sandwiched around a contest where he allowed six to Buffalo on January 21. If he goes on Monday, then it will be Anthony Stolarz (4-6-0, 3.88) between the pipes for this contest.

Trevor Zegras had the game-winner in OT, his 18th of the season. He has four goals over his last five games. Cam Fowler was held off the scoresheet in the victory but has seven points over his last five games, including three multiple-point games. Anaheim is last in goals allowed per game (4.06) and in goals scored per contest (2.44). They produced 23 goals during this six-game road trip, including scoring five in three of those games.
