Anaheim Ducks vs. Calgary Flames Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 3-10-2023

The Anaheim Ducks face the Calgary Flames with both teams looking to improve on their rough seasons. The Ducks have a 21-35-9 record and have the third-worst record in the Western Conference while Flames have a 29-23-13 record and with back-to-back wins have leaped a few points behind the wild card position in the conference. Both teams look to improve in the Pacific Division and the conference and the upcoming game looks to be a good one as a result.

The Ducks are having a season to forget with their offense struggling and scoring only 2.49 goals per game. Trevor Zegras, Troy Terry, and Mason Mctavish have scored 53 goals and 88 assists but the rest of the offense has struggled. Only six active skaters have scored 10 goals or more and opponents can eliminate the hapless offense as a result.

The offense has struggled but the defense has been one of the worst in the league, allowing 4.03 goals per game with eight goals in the last two games. Cam Fowler and Kevin Shattenkirk have combined for 3.6 defensive point shares but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net at will. Additionally, goaltender John Gibson has struggled with a .902 save percentage and a 3.89 goals-against average on 1643 shots with -5.3 goals saved above average.
