The American Eagles will head up to Lewisburg to take on Bucknell Bison in Patriot League action from the Sojka Pavilion on the CBSSN. Bucknell leads the all-time series, 40-23, after winning the last two meetings.
American fell to 15-10 after losing to Holy Cross at home. The Eagles let the Crusaders pull away in the second half and they lost by eight points. American scores 66.4 points per game, while allowing 65.1 ppg, and shooting 49.7% from the floor.
American has dropped eight of their last eleven games, but they remain just a game out of second place. The Eagles are 7-7 in Patriot League play, with a 8-6 road record. American plays through the frontcourt of Matt Rogers and Johnny O’Neil. Rogers leads the team in scoring (12.8), while grabbing 5.5 rpg. O’Neil double-doubled in the first meeting with Bucknell, and he’s averaging 10.5 ppg and a team-lead 6.4 rpg. Junior guard Colin Smalls has scored 13 points or more in five of the last seven games, and he’s third on the team at 10.2 ppg.
