The South Alabama Jaguars (1-1) will host the Alabama Crimson Tide (2-0) on Tuesday night. These teams played last season, with Alabama escaping with a 73-68 win as a 20.5-point favorite.
The Crimson Tide went 19-14 with last season, ending with a 78-64 first-round NCAA Tournament loss to Notre Dame. Expectations are high again this season with three returning starters. The Tide were rated No. 21 in the nation and fourth in the SEC, according to si.com.

Alabama opened up the season with a 75-64 win as a 15-point favorite against Longwood and a 95-59 victory as a 9.5-point favorite over Liberty. Through the first two games, Alabama has been led by 2021 McDonald's All-American and five-star prospect Brandon Miller, who is averaging 17 ppg and 10.5 rebounds. Mark Sears, a transfer from Ohio, is also averaging 17 ppg and nine rebounds. Freshman Rylan Griffen, a four-star recruit, is averaging 15 ppg.
The Crimson Tide are led by head coach Nate Oats who is in his fourth season leading the program. Oats also coached Buffalo for four seasons and led the Bulls to three NCAA Tournament berths.
