The Air Force Falcons will head down to Fort Collins to face the Colorado State Rams in Mountain West play from the Moby Arena on the Mountain West Network. Colorado State holds the all-time series lead 86-33, after winning 13 meetings in a row.
Air Force dropped to 9-7 after losing to Utah State at home. The Falcons were overpowered early by the Aggies, and they failed to recover, losing 77-65. Air Force is scoring 68.8 points per game, while allowing 63.9 ppg, and shooting 47.1% from the field.
Air Force has dropped three straight to begin conference play, and it looks like they’ll be in for a long winter. Jake Heidbreser leads the charge for Air Force and the sophomore shooting guard is enjoying a nice second-year leap. After going for a season-high 27 points in the win over South Dakota, Heidbreser scored 22 against Nevada and he leads the Falcons with 15.7 ppg. Ethan Taylor (7.9 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 3.4 apg) joins him in the backcourt, while freshman forward Rytos Petraitis leads the team in rebounding (5.1), while scoring 9.1 ppg.
