One of the most shocking moves on NFL Draft night in April was the Titans' decision to trade their young superstar wide receiver, A.J. Brown to the Eagles for first and fourth round picks. No NFL experts seemingly saw this as a possibility. Brown was handsomely rewarded after the trade, receiving a four year, $100 million deal from Philadelphia.

The former Ole Miss standout has developed into one of the elite possession receivers in the league during his three seasons in Tennessee desp ite having missed a combined six games the last two seasons.'

In 2021, Brown averaged nearly five receptions on eight targets per game though his yardage and touchdowns slipped a bit from the 1,075-11 he posted in 2021.

While Brown's presence enhances quarterback Jalen Hurts' value in real life and fantasy football, there's no guarantee the star WR's numbers will increase significantly. Tennessee was 31st in pass/run ratio in 2021 (49.3%) only trailed by Philadelphia (47.3%). With competition for targets coming from last year's first round wide receiver Devonta Smith, tight end Dallas Goedert, and a stable of pass catching specialist running backs including Miles Sanders Kenneth Gainwell, 100+ targets for Brown is likely but far from a certainty.
