Texas A&M Aggies (3-6) vs. Auburn Tigers (3-6)

A couple of slumping teams lock horns Saturday, November 12, at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, Alabama. It’s Week 11 of the 2022 college football season, so here’s the best Texas A&M vs. Auburn betting pick.

Texas A&M shoots for its third straight victory over Auburn. Last year, the Aggies beat the Tigers 20-3 as 4.5-point home favorites. Texas A&M is a small 1.5-point road dog this time around, while the totals sit at 48.5 points.

The Texas A&M Aggies (3-6; 3-5-1 ATS; 1-5 conf.) extended their losing streak to five games last Saturday. They suffered a 41-24 defeat to the Florida Gators, failing to satisfy the odds as 1.5-point home favorites. The Aggies couldn’t score in the second half and blew a four-point spread from the break, allowing the Gators to score 21 unanswered points.

“They stymied us two or three times,” Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher said of the Aggies' second half. “Even on the RPOs that we threw, they put the extra guy in the box, and we just didn't get them blocked.

Sophomore signal-caller Haynes King got his fifth start of the season and went 23-of-45 for 279 yards and a touchdown. Junior ru nning back Devon Achane led the way for the Aggies with 16 carries for 122 yards and a couple of scores. He also had three catches for one yard and a TD.

Devon Achane is the Aggies’ best player by far. He’s already accounted for 1,083 yards from scrimmage and nine touchdowns while averaging 5.6 yards per carry. Haynes King has thrown for 1,220 yards, seven touchdowns, and six interceptions through six appearances, while freshman QB Conner Weigman is waiting for his chance after tossing for 429 yards and four scores in a couple of apps.

The Aggies are scoring just 22.8 points per game (102nd in the nation) on 365.9 total yards (91st). They are yielding 23.9 points in a return (47th) on 388.9 total yards (78th ), but the Aggies have surrendered 102 points over their previous three showings.
