The Florida State Seminoles (6-3, 6-3 ATS, 4-5 O/U) collide with the Syracuse Orange (6-3, 6-3 ATS, 3-6 O/U) in an ACC battle on Saturday night. The Seminoles recorded a road win against Miami Florida last week. The Orange were dealt a road loss by Pittsburgh in their previous action. Florida State recorded a 33-30 home win against Syracuse last season.

The #25 Florida State Seminoles are seeking a third consecutive win. They beat Georgia Tech and were labeled six-point favorites in a dominating 38-10 road win against rival Miami FL last week. The win was a big one, securing bowl eligibility. It wasn’t easy. They had lost three in a row in October but navigated through a challenging schedule. The Seminoles have covered the spread in three out of their last four games.

Jordan Travis is capable of big performances. The junior QB has at least 250 passing yards four times this season. Last week, he accrued three TD passes and has registered 2259 passing yards accompanied by a 17:4 TD to INT ratio on the season.

The rushing offense was key in the win last week, recording 180 yards. Trey Benson is in a groove, amassing 111 and 128 yards respectively in his last two game s, and now leads the squad with 611 rushing yards. Treshaun Ward isn't far behind with 488 rushing yards on 6.8 yards per carry. Johnny Wilson has made 11 receptions in his last three games. The sophomore WR has logged 625 receiving yards. The Florida State offense is clicking, generating at least 28 points in three straight games.

The Seminoles' defense has been outstanding. They have allowed 19 or fewer points in three out of their last four games including 188 yards on three points last week. The pass defense has especially been effective, ranking fifth while the rush defense is 66th. They have been rewarded with the #25 spot in this week's AP Top 25. Florida State is scoring an average of 33.6 points, landing them 34th overall. The defense is limiting foes to only 19.8 points, placing them 22nd in the FBS.
