St. Louis Blues at Philadelphia Flyers – 11/8/22 NHL Picks and Prediction

The St. Louis Blues and Philadelphia Flyers face off on Tuesday in an NHL showdown at the Wells Fargo Center. When these two teams faced off in March it was the Flyers that secured the 5-2 victory.

The Blues headed into Monday’s game against the Boston Bruins with a 3-6-0 record and they have been a major disappointment this season. In the last game against the New York Islanders, the Blues defense gave up two goals and that led to the three goal defeat. Vladimir Tarasenko scored one goal and added one assist. The Blues are averaging 2.33 goals per game while their defense is giving up 3.89 goals per game. Justin Faulk has scored three goals and added seven assists.

On the other side of this matchup is the Flyers who sit with a 6-3-2 record overall and they are coming off a victory in the last game. The Flyers defense gave up only one goal to the Ottawa Senators, and that led to the one goal victory. The Flyers are averaging 2.55 goals per game while their defense is giving up 2.55 goals per game. The defense is ranked 6th in the NHL, and they need to lock down in this game. In this game the defense is going to need to be good, but it’s also going to be important the offense scores first, and puts the pressure on the Blues.
