Dallas Stars (8-3-1) vs. Winnipeg Jets (7-3-1)

The 2022-23 NHL season continues Tuesday, November 8, when a couple of in-form teams face off against each other in the Central Division showdown at Canada Life Center in Winnipeg, Manitoba, so here’s the best Stars vs. Jets betting pick.

Dallas meets Winnipeg for the second time this season, and the Stars beat the Jets 4-1 as -145 home favorites on October 17. The Stars are slight -117 road favorites this time around, while the totals are listed at 6.0 goals.

The Dallas Stars will wrap up a three-game road trip in Winnipeg. After a 7-2 dismantling of the Arizona Coyotes this past Thursday, the Stars routed the Edmonton Oilers 6-2 on Saturday to extend their winning streak to three games. Dallas outshot Edmonton 36-30, Jamie Benn had a hat trick, while Jason Robertson found the back of the net once and had a couple of assists.

“It’s nice to see one of the leaders here for the last couple of years put up three goals on the road, in a big game. It created a lot of emotion for us,” Robertson said of Benn. “We’re playing faster, the power play is really clicking really good right now. We’re getting shots to the net.”

The Stars are 12-for-41 with the man advantage, enough for the fourth-best in the NHL this season. They score 3.83 goals per game (tied-3rd in the league) on a 12.4 shooting percentage (2nd). On the other side of the puck, the Stars allow just 2.25 goals per contest (2nd), and their goaltending duo holds a .927 save percentage (3rd).

Scott Wedgewood (3-2-1; 3.06 GAA; .908 SV%) has guarded the cage in the previous four games because of Jake Oettinger’s lower-body injury. Oettinger remains o n the shelf Tuesday, so Wedgewood should get another starting call.
