The Houston Rockets and the Orlando Magic collide at the Amway Center on Monday night.
The Houston Rockets have been in terrible shape as they’ve lost nine of their first 10 games overall and they will be hoping to put an end to a six-game slide after getting routed by the Timberwolves in a 129-117 road loss on Saturday. Jalen Green led the team in scoring with 21 points while Kenyon Martin Jr, Alperen Sengun and Tari Eason each scored 17 points. As a team, the Rockets shot 47 percent from the field and 16 of 38 from the 3-point line but the writing was on the wall early in this one as the Rockets never had a chance after falling behind by 68-49 going into halftime.
Meanwhile, the Orlando Magic haven’t been playing much better as they’ve lost eight of their first 10 games and they are coming into this one fresh off a 126-123 overtime loss to the Kings on Saturday. Paolo Banchero led the way with 33 points, 16 rebounds and four assists, Franz Wagner added 31 points with six assists, Bol Bol scored 23 points while Wendell Carter Jr. chipped in with 17 points, nine rebounds and six assists. As a team, the Magic shot 54 percent from the field and a miserly four of 23 from the 3-point line as they squandered an early 20-point lead, before coming up just short in overtime as the Kings’ De’Aaron Fox nailed the game-winner at the buzzer from the logo to snatch the game from them.
