Cornell at Boston College – 11/7/22 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Cornell Big Red will play the Boston College Eagles in a non-conference game on Monday night at Silvio O. Conte Forum in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts.

The Cornell Big Red were 15-11 (7-7) last season and finished fourth in the Ivy League regular season standings. Cornell lost to Princeton in the semifinals of the Ivy League Tournament by a score of 77-73 to end their season. Cornell lost three key contributors from their team last year, Dean Noll, Sarju Patel, and Jordan Jones, who averaged a combined 29 points per game. Cornell will have to replace this production, but was able to get a JUCO transfer to help. Cornell is a very balanced team and even though they lost some production, they still return four players that averaged between 6-9 points per game. I expect Cornell to have a very similar season to last year.

The Boston College Eagles were 13-20 (6-14) last season and finished tied for 11th in the ACC standings. Boston College made a little run in the ACC Tournament last season and defeated Pittsburgh and Wake Forest, but lost to Miami by a score of 71-69. Boston College lost their fifth and seventh top scorer from last season, but return a good amount of production for this year. The Eagles also got two transfers, one being Mason Madsen from Cincinnati. Boston College should be better than they were last year, but is playing in the ACC, which is not an easy conference to play in. Expect Boston College to win somewhere in the neighborhood of 8-9 conference games this season.
