They don't call it Big Monday for nothing. This Monday, college basketball tips off in earnest with a huge slate of games, including the Colorado Buffaloes against the UC Riverside Highlanders. The Buffaloes, of the Pac-12, finished 21-12 last season, while the Highlanders, of the Big West, finished 16-12 a year ago. Game time is 8:30 p.m. ET at the CU Events Center.

While they lost three starters, they do have back another starter from a year ago, Flynn Cameron, who averaged 10.4 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.

Another projected starter for the Highlanders is Will Tattersall, a 6'7″ forward who averaged 8 points and 3 rebounds per game last season. In addition, 6'11″ big man Jhaylon Martinez is expected to man the middle. They are also counting on transfer forwards Luke Turner from Wofford, Kyle Owens from Montana and Vladimer Salaridze from eastern Florida State College. Meanwhile, guard Jamal Hartwell transferred in from George Mason.  Freshman Nate Pickens, Kaleb Smith and Kobe Jerome should also see action, along with sophomore Niyi Olabode.
