Houston Rockets vs. Minnesota Timberwolves Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 11-5-2022

The Minnesota Timberwolves (4-5) will host the Houston Rockets (1-8) on Saturday in a Western Conference matchup. Both of these teams will be looking to snap a losing streak, although the expectations are much higher for Minnesota.

The Houston Rockets are on a five-game losing streak, with their last two defeats coming against the Los Angeles Clippers. Houston is now beginning a four-game road trip that will continue in Orlando on Monday night. In Wednesday's 109-101 loss to the Clippers, the Rockets missed a chance at covering the six-point spread with two missed threes in the game's final seconds.

The Rockets are 21st in defensive rating and 28th in offensive rating. Houston's top three scorers are all younger than 23 years old, led by Kevin Porter Jr with 20.4 ppg and Jalen Green with 19.4 ppg. Alperen Sengun leads the team with 10.3 rebounds and is scoring 16.7 ppg. Rookie Jabari Smith, who became the first Rocket since Hakeem Olajuwon to score at least 10 points in each of his six career games, has not played well in the last three games and will miss Saturday's game with an illness.
