Boston Celtics at New York Knicks – 11/5/22 NBA Picks and Prediction

The Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks duke it out at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night.

The Boston Celtics were in a bit of a rut as they had lost three of four games before bouncing back with a 123-119 win over the Bulls last night. Jayson Tatum led the way with 36 points, 12 rebounds and six assists, Malcolm Brogdon provided the spark off the bench with 25 points on nine of 10 shooting while Jaylen Brown chipped in with 16 points. As a team, the Celtics shot 49 percent from the field and nine of 31 from the 3-point line as they exploded for 37 points in the second quarter to build a 14-point lead which proved to be just enough in the end as the Bulls rallied to within two points with 1:24 left on the clock.

Meanwhile, the New York Knicks have split their first eight games and they were riding a three-game skid before they snapped out of it with a 106-104 road win at Philadelphia last night. Jalen Brunson led the way with 23 points, six rebounds and seven assists, RJ Barrett added 22 points while Julius Randle and Obi Toppin each scored 17 points. As a team, the Knicks shot 46 percent from the field and nine of 33 from the 3-point line as they looked to be in trouble after scoring just 16 points in the third quarter to trail by as many as 12 points, but they rallied with 32 points in the fourth quarter to escape with the narrow win.
