The Boston Bruins have flourished under new head coach Jim Montgomery thus far this season as they are in the midst of a seven-game win streak and own the best record in the NHL, 10-1. The Bruins have done this while leading the league in goals per game and getting dominant goaltending from Linus Ullmark, who is off to an 8-0 start. The 10-1 start represents the best start in the storied franchise's history. On Thursday, the Bruins got goals from Trent Frederic and Jake DeBrusk in the third period to put the Rangers away and Ullmark added 18 saves in the win. Nick Foligno and Taylor Hall each had two assists for the Bruins as they continue to get production from all three primary lines.

“This group makes it fun every night,” said the 35-year-old Foligno, a veteran of 16 NHL seasons and playing his second with Boston. “We're so process-focused. The results take care of themselves.”

The high flying Bruins added to their league-leading goal total with five on Thursday night. Brad Marchand, who recently returned from double hip surgery, finished second on the team in ice-time with over 19 minutes in the game. His status for Saturday's game will be interesting. The medical staff has been monitoring him closely and, given his ice time on Thursday, the plan all along may have been to sit him on Saturday. Ullmark will likely get the nod again on Saturday as Jeremy Swayman remains a bit banged up after coming out of the Penguins game.

Key Injuries: Monitor the status of Marchand (hips) and C David Krejci (upper body). Krejci may return on Saturday, which will bolster Boston's top lines.
