Toronto opened the season with a 108-105 win against Cleveland before losing consecutive road games at Brooklyn and Miami. The Raptors bounced back with a win over the Heat in a rematch and then added a win against Philadelphia. They had their winning streak snapped in a loss to the 76ers the following game before beating Atlanta and San Antonio earlier this week. Those wins were two of the impressive of any team in the NBA this year, as they beat Atlanta by 30 points and San Antonio by 43 points. They were playing without veteran guard Fred VanVleet in both victories, and he is questionable to return on Friday.

Forward Pascal Siakam recorded his second triple-double of the season on Wednesday, racking up 22 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists in just 27:34 of playing time. He also had 31 points and 12 rebounds against Atlanta on Monday. Toronto’s defense had 16 steals and forced 23 turnovers in San Antonio and had 13 steals and forced 18 turnovers against Atlanta. O.G. Anunoby has been on fire defensively, racking up 11 steals in the last two games. The Raptors rank second in the NBA in scoring defense, allowing 105.8 points per game. They are No. 16 in the NBA offensively, averaging 113.9 points.
