Los Angeles Clippers vs. San Antonio Spurs Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 11-4-2022

Los Angeles will try to build on a pair of wins against Houston when it travels to San Antonio on Friday night. The Clippers snapped their four-game losing streak with two wins against the Rockets earlier this week. San Antonio had its two-game winning streak snapped in a 143-100 loss to Toronto on Wednesday.

Los Angeles opened the season with a pair of wins over the Lakers and Kings before suffering a disappointing four-game losing streak against Phoenix, Oklahoma City (twice) and New Orleans. The Clippers bounced back earlier this week, picking up consecutive wins over Houston in a home-and-home series. They snuck out a two-point win at home before winning by eight on the road. Forward Paul George carried the load in both victories, scoring 35 points on Monday and 28 points on Wednesday. He also led the team in assists in both wins, combining for 13 dimes between the two games.

Marcus Morris scored 18 points in the first half on Wednesday and completed his double-double with 10 rebounds. The Clippers have been without forward Kawhi Leonard for five straight games due to stiffness in his right knee that was surgically repaired before last season. He played in two games early in the year, but he did not make this road trip and will be out again on Friday. George has stepped up, averaging a team-high 22.6 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. Veteran point guard John Wall is averaging 12.5 points and 4.5 assists per game off the bench, while center Ivica Zubac is adding 9.1 points and 11.1 rebounds. The Clippers are dead-last in the NBA in scoring offense (101.1), but their defense is No. 3 (106.3).
