Michigan at Rutgers – 11/5/22 College Football Picks and Prediction

The Michigan Wolverines and Rutgers Scarlet Knights face off on Saturday in a college football showdown at SHI Stadium. Michigan has won the last seven games played between the two teams.

Michigan comes into this game with an 8-0 record and they are coming off another dominant victory. Michigan’s defense gave up only seven points to Michigan State, and that led to the victory. Quarterback J.J. McCarthy completed 15 of his 25 passes for 167 yards and a touchdown. Blake Corum also had a big game rushing 33 times for 177 yards and a touchdown. Michigan is averaging 41 points while their defense is giving up 11.5 points per game. In this game, if the defense struggles, it would be shocking.

On the other side of this matchup is Rutgers who sits with a 4-4 record overall but they are coming off a loss in the last game. Rutgers didn’t score any points against Minnesota and that led to the 31 point defeat. Rutgers used two different quarterbacks but they combined to only throw for 86 yards. Kyle Monangai was the top rusher but he only had 29 yards. Rutgers is averaging 20.1 points while their defense is giving up 22.5 points per game. The defense will need to be good here, but if they want any chance to win this game, they need to get some quality quarterback play.
