The Florida Panthers and San Jose Sharks face off on Thursday in an NHL showdown at the SAP Center. Florida has won the last six games played between the two teams.

On the other side of this matchup is the San Jose Sharks who sit with a 3-8-1 record overall and they are coming off another loss in the last game. The offense scored five goals against the Anaheim Ducks but that wasn’t enough as they were defeated 6-5 in a shootout. San Jose is averaging 2.42 goals per game while their defense is giving up 3.25 goals per game. The offense is ranked 31st in the league, so the scoring five goals in the last game was quite impressive.
