The No. 20 Wake Forest Demon Deacons (6-2) hit the road for an ACC clash against the No. 21 NC State Wolf Pack (6-2) on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Wayne Day Family Field at Carter-Finley Stadium.
The Demon Deacons were defeated by the Louisville Cardinals 48-21 in their last outing. Last time out, the Wolf Pack took down the Virginia Tech Hokies 22-21. Sam Hartman threw for 271 yards, with one touchdown and three interceptions on 20-of-35 passing (57.1%) for the Deacs in that matchup against the Cardinals. Will Towns carried the ball seven times for 54 yards (7.7 yards per carry). Donavon Greene led the receiving charge against the Cardinals, catching three passes for 75 yards. MJ Morris recorded 265 passing yards while going 20-for-29 with three touchdowns and no interceptions for the Pack against the Hokies. Jordan Houston carried the ball nine times for 31 yards. He caught four passes for 28 yards. Thayer Thomas recorded 10 catches for 118 yards (on 13 targets), with two touchdowns.
The Demon Deacons are 4.5-point favorites in their matchup with the Wolf Pack. The over/under is set at 54 points.
