Buffalo vs. Ohio U Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 11-1-2022

Buffalo will try to extend its five-game winning streak when it travels to Ohio for a nationally televised MAC showdown on Tuesday night. The Bulls lost their first three games this season, but they have responded with an emphatic stretch to take control of the MAC East. Ohio enters this game with momentum as well, having won its last three games.

Buffalo faced a pair of difficult opponents in non-conference play, which resulted in losses at Maryland and Coastal Carolina. The Bulls also came up short in a loss to Holy Cross as 6-point favorites, giving them an 0-3 record heading into conference action. They have been able to put that early disappointment in the rearview mirror, rattling off five consecutive wins since mid-September. Buffalo has notched a pair of upsets during that stretch, including a 34-27 win over Toledo as a 7-point underdog its last time out. The Bulls also upset Eastern Michigan as 6.5-point underdogs to kick off the winning streak.

They blew out Bowling Green as 2-point favorites and did the same against UMass as 17-point favorites, so they have covered the spread in all five games during their hot stretch. Their offense has come to life, scoring at least 24 points in every game since their season opener. Quarterback Cole Snyder has completed 60.4% of his passes for 1,907 yards, 12 touchdowns and five interceptions. His top targets have been wide receivers Justin Marshall and Quian Williams, who have each gone over 400 yards this season. Running backs Ron Cook Jr. and Mike Washington have combined for nearly 1,000 yards on the ground, averaging 4.5 yards per carry.
