Allen's slow march toward the featherweight throne continues on Saturday night when he takes on battle-tested veteran Kattar. The latter has alternated wins and losses over his past four bouts but has faced truly elite talent over that stretch.
Allen is 11-0 during his seven-year UFC tenure, but his resume isn't nearly as strong as Kattar's, and a convincing win on Saturday would likely launch him into the title picture at 145 pounds.
The card also features a light heavyweight bout with a high potential for ultraviolence between Khalil Rountree and Dustin Jacoby, a welterweight clash pitting Tim Means against Max Griffin, and a heavyweight scrap featuring the ageless Andrei Arlovski.
