Winnipeg Jets at Arizona Coyotes – 10/28/22 NHL Picks and Prediction

The Winnipeg Jets and Arizona Coyotes face off on Friday in an NHL showdown at ASU Multi-Purpose Arena. When these two teams faced off in March it was the Jets that secured the 2-1 victory.

The Jets headed into Thursday’s game against the Los Angeles Kings with a 3-3-0 record overall. On Monday against the St. Louis Blues the Jets were able to secure a 4-0 victory. The Jets scored three goals in the third period and that was enough for the win. Josh Morrissey had two assists and two shots on goal. The Jets are averaging 2.67 goals per game while their defense is giving up 2.83 goals per game. The offense is ranked 26th in the league, but the defense is the strength and is ranked 9th. Connor Hellebuyck is expected to get the start in this game and he sits with a 3-2-0 record and is giving up 2.20 goals per game.

On the other side of this matchup is the Coyotes who sit with a 2-4-0 record overall but they are coming off a win in the last game. The offense scored six goals against the Columbus Blue Jackets and that led to the three-goal victory. Shayne Gostibehere had a big game finishing with two goals and one assist. Arizona is averaging 3.17 goals per game while their defense is giving up 4.83 goals per game. The offense is decent, but their defense is the worst in the NHL, and can’t be the weakness here.
