The Golden State Warriors (2-2) will host the Miami Heat (2-3) Thursday night on NBA TV. Last season Golden State won both meetings, taking down Miami 115-109 at home and 118-104 on the road.

The Miami Heat finished the 2021-22 regular season 53-29, the same record as Golden State. The Heat beat the Hawks and 76ers in the first two rounds of the playoffs before falling to the Boston Celtics in seven games of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Heat entered this season with an over/under win total set at 48.5.

Miami opened the season with four home games and went 1-3, falling to the Bulls and Celtics and splitting with the Raptors. Last night the Heat took down the Portland Trail Blazers 119-98, but Damian Lillard left the game in the third quarter with the score 79-70. The Heat went on to outscore Portland 40-28 the rest of the way. The win was a group effort for the Heat, with Bam Adebayo scoring 19 points, Jimmy Butler and Kyle Lowry finishing with 17 points, Caleb Martin with 16 points, and Tyler Herro with 14 points. Adebayo and Martin also both grabbed eight rebounds. For the game, the Heat also outshot the Blazers 50.6% to 43.6% from the field and 39.5% to 32.4% from the floor.
