St. Louis Blues vs. Nashville Predators Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 10-27-2022

The St. Louis Blues face the Nashville Predators with both teams on opposite ends of the Central Division to start the season. The Blues have a 3-2 record while the Predators are 2-4-1 and have lost back-to-back games. Both teams are looking to improve their record within the Central Division and the Western Conference and the upcoming game should be a great one as a result.

The Blues are off to a great start to the season but hope the offense improves, scoring only 2.75 goals per game. Vladimir Tarasenko, Brayden Schenn, and Robert Thomas have combined for three goals and 12 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has struggled. The hope is that Ivan Barbashev and Jordan Kyrou can step up as they play a pivotal role in the forward unit but have only added two goals to the offense thus far.

The offense has struggled but the defense looks like one of the best in the league, allowing only 2.25 goals per game. Justin Faulk and Torey Krug have led the top pairing but the rest of the defense has also been great with Niko Mikkola, Nick Leddy, and the rest of the defense creating turnovers in the defensive zone and limiting shots on the net. With the Blues playing the second game of a back-to-back, the hope is that Thomas Griess can step up in the net as he's 39 of the 42 shots he's faced thus far this season.
