The Charlotte Hornets and the New York Knicks collide at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night.
The Charlotte Hornets have been in decent form so far and they will be looking to stay hot after blowing past the Hawks in a 126-109 road win on Sunday. Kelly Oubre Jr. led the team with 24 points and 10 rebounds, Nick Richards added 20 points with 11 rebounds while Dennis Smith Jr. chipped in with 18 points and six assists. As a team, the Hornets shot 52 percent from the field and 11 of 26 from the 3-point line as they got off to a slow start and trailed by 13 points early, but they took control with 37 points in the second quarter, before exploding for a season-high 45 points in the third quarter to make it a complete blowout in the end.
Meanwhile, the New York Knicks will be aiming for a third straight victory after routing the Magic in a 115-102 home win on Monday. Julius Randle led the team with 25 points, 12 rebounds and four assists, Jalen Brunson added 21 points with six assists while RJ Barrett chipped in with 20 points. As a team, the Knicks shot 46 percent from the field and 11 of 37 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 34 points in the first quarter, before they ran away with it in the second half where they held the Magic to just 43 points. Evan Fournier had a quiet night of just eight points on two of eight shooting while Immanuel Quickley finished scoreless on zero of five shooting off the bench.
