Golden State Warriors vs. Phoenix Suns Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 10-25-2022

Golden State and Phoenix will square off in a matchup between Western Conference giants on Tuesday night in primetime. The Warriors have won two of their first three games this season, including a 130-125 win over Sacramento on Sunday. Phoenix is 2-1 as well following its 112-95 victory against the Clippers its last time out.

Golden State has faced one of the toughest schedules of any team in the NBA through the first week of the season, opening with games against the Lakers, Nuggets and Kings. The Warriors blew out the Lakers in their opener before coming up short against Denver late last week. They bounced back with a 130-125 win over Sacramento on Sunday. Star guard Steph Curry has been consistent thus far, scoring 33 points in both wins while posting 34 points in the loss. Curry and the Warriors are now going on the road for the first time this season.

They are currently the No. 2 scoring team in the NBA, averaging 125.3 points per game. Golden State will be focused on improving its defensive numbers this week, as it ranks No. 24 in that category, allowing 120.7 points per game. Curry has been the team’s leading scorer, but small forward Andrew Wiggins is adding 22.3 points and 6.3 rebounds. Shooting guard Jordan Poole is chipping in 14.3 points off the bench, although he is only shooting 31.3% from beyond the arc. Curry scored 28 of his 33 points against the Kings during an 89-point first half, which was the third-most points in any half in franchise history. The Warriors set a team-record with 50 points in the second quarter.
